rool Posted March 13, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 13, 2010 I will be taking my first cruise with x in July on Eclipse. I remember reading some time ago about white nights and wondered if this is something that still happens across the fleet? Don't want to take my white dancing shoes unnecessarily ;)
Phxazzcruisers Posted March 14, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 14, 2010 We have been on over 10 Celebrity Cruises in the last three years and have never come across "white nights".
biker1972 Posted March 14, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2010 The white nights were on two ships, the Connie and the Summit, (I think Summit and I know Connie) when they had the Cirque du Soleil shows in forward observation bars. Idea was to dress in white, wear masks that were for sale or make your own, and be a part of the show with the colorful lights revolving around the room and over your clothing. Then these various characters would enter the room, go around doing strange things and leave. A real disaster for X. Great deal of money and effort went into something that did not play well in Peoria. They did not go fleet-wide and when the contract with Cirque came to an end it was not renewed. They did do a stage show for awhile until the contract ended and it was a much better offering.
