Southbound Alaska - Where do they get their fresh food from?

Recommended Posts

I was just wondering if the southbound cruises out of Seward are re-stocked in Seward the day of embarkation. Otherwise, they would have to stock for two weeks in Vancouver prior to the northbound cruise. I was thinking they may stock in Vancouver for frozen meat and produce but not fish. Does anyone know for sure?

Not sure...but pretty much everything except fruits and veggies is frozen...including fish...

there is PLENTY of storage space for that stuff...and they may actually get provisions for the ship somewhere in the middle of the cruise as well...

The fresh stuff would most likely come on in Seward (or somewhere in the middle...)

I thought I read on these boards in past years that the southbound cruises are mainly stocked in Vancouver prior to going northbound. I am just attempting to confirm this so my expectations will be realistic.
