Hair Dryers on Ships

Recommended Posts

I don't know specifically about the Pride (I'm sure someone here has an answer), but just note......while the hairdryer is effective at dryer, you have to hold down the 'on' button the entire time. As soon as you let go, it turns off. You might consider bringing a strong rubberband or something to hold it down so your hand doesn't cramp up!

I'm not sure which ships have hair dryers, but I would suggest bringing along a hair dryer anyway, at least a travel dryer. The one on the ship take twice as long to dry your hair and you have to hold the button down the entire time (or bring a strong rubber band), which makes using a round brush and hair dryer at the same time quite difficult.

I have long, thick (but fine) hair and I was actually OK using the hairdryer on the Legend last week. Yes, it took a bit longer than normal, but it was worth it to not have to pack my own hair dryer.

Instead of worrying about the hairdryer, I would recommend bringing a really GREAT de-tangler and a deep conditioner. The wind played havec with my hair - it was not a pretty site trying to manage that! :D

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to pack my hair dryer?

A hair dryer is provided in the bathroom (Destiny, Triumph, Victory) or at the desk/vanity in the stateroom (Spirit, Pride, Legend, Conquest, Glory, Miracle, Valor, Liberty, Freedom, Splendor and Dream). Hair dryers are not provided in the staterooms of all other ships.
