tami99 Posted March 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2010 I just realized something that I haven't read here, I don't think anyway. I selected the open dining time option on Carnival so we didn't have to rush to get to dinner early, nor can my kids wait until 8:00. Would it work the same way for formal nights also? I'm only thinking of going to one formal night, but wondering if the formal dining is only open to those who have opted for the set times or if we would also get to participate and just wait for a table like the other nights. Traveler353 Posted March 18, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2010 With any time dinning on Carnival you stay on it all cruise. For "Elegant Night" ( no more formal nights on Carnival) they will have the same menu for all the eating in the MDR.

Formal Night is for everyone regardless of whether you have a set traditional time or you are doing an anytime arrangement. Jonathan
cb at sea Posted March 18, 2010 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2010 If you have "anytime" dining....you may go anytime...that's what it's about! Dress code is the same, however, for traditional and anytime!
