jana616 Posted March 18, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2010 We are looking at doing a cruise on RCCL in mid-May, out of Ft. Lauderdale. Leaving a day early is not an option for us. Based on that, do you think a leaving Indy at 6:15 am, a 70 minute layover in Baltimore, and arriving in Ft. Lauderdale at 11:43 am will work out okay? That would give us 5 hours until it sails. On the way home, the best flight leaves Ft. Lauderdale at 12:18 pm. That should be late enough to get us off the ship, right? Is there a certain time you need to be off? Any help is appreciated! LookingForward2 Posted March 19, 2010 #2 Share Posted March 19, 2010 yes, while most will advise you to fly in the day before, those times will work for you, especially if you're flying into FLL and sailing out of that port as well. The same goes for the return. We have done this several times out of Miami and have never had a problem.
voyager70 Posted March 19, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 19, 2010 I agree with the previous poster, you should be fine. A 70 minute layover is a little close, but early morning flights are almost always on time & weather shouldn't be an issue in May. Your return flight will be fine. FLL is a very short trip to/from Port Everglades.
