sbflcruiser Posted March 22, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2010 Hello all, We are a group of 6 adults flying into JFK, will need service to Midtown Manhattan, then Midtown Manhattan to RedHook cruise terminal, then from RedHook cruise terminal to Penn Station, we figured it might be cheaper to all share a service rather than individual taxis. If that is the case, could you make some recommendations, so that I could contact them for pricing and availablity. Of if we are better off just using taxi service, let us know that tooo. Thanks as always for all your assistance.

Thanks as always for all your assistance. It will be much simpler for your group to simply take a cab. It can be confusing driving into New York City plus it will be expensive to keep your rental car in a garage or at the cruise pier for the duration of your voyage. There are a number of shuttle services that do pick ups and drop offs from the airports into many of the mid-town hotels in New York City. Try googling shuttles, New York City and see what you come up with. I believe one of them is called Super Shuttle. A cab from Mid-town to the Brooklyn cruise pier will only take about 20 minutes and with three people in each cab will cost you a minimal amount, somewhere in the neighborhood of $8 each. RHefley228 Posted March 22, 2010 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2010 I like a service called Dial 7 (212-777-7777; 800-777-8888 toll-free if you're out of the area); call them and get a quote.

Thanks as always for all your assistance. A cab from JFK to to midtown is fixed at $45 per cab plus tolls and tip. It can fit three adults plus cruise luggage. Supershuttle has a shared van service that can hold six plus the luggage see http://www.supershuttle.com generally larger sized cars/vans that can hold cruise luggage and six people will be more than twice what a cab will charge.
