Closest Grocery Store to MCO (opened late)?

Can someone recommend the closest grocery store to MCO that is open late?

We are staying in a hotel around the MCO area the night before our cruise. Our flight lands at 11:00pm so we would like to pick up some booze, water and soda before we check into our hotel, and then be on the road towards Port Canaveral first thing Sat. morning.

Thanks!

Why not just get up early on embarkation day and hit the Publix just off Route 528 (East Industry Road & Rte 524 exit)? It's on your way.

Getting into MCO at 11PM means it'll be after midnight before you get to any store. There is a Goodings 24 hour market on International Drive near the Ripley's, but it is over priced, limited selection and the liquor store next door closes at midnight. The nearest WalMart Neighborhood 24 hour Grocery is 12 miles from the airport. Byt he time you get there shop and get back to your hotel it'll be after 2AM. That's a long day.

Good idea...we'll try in the morning. Can we buy booze before noon on a Sat? Just wondering if Orlando has any laws about that.

Hello Priate Gal, Here is another option you may want to consider.

www.gardengrocer.com It is a grocery-hotel delivery service. You could place your order on line and they will deliver directly to your hotel at a specified time of your liking. They have a full list of the products to view online so you can easily choose. You could ask the front desk at the hotel for the nearest liqour store and just stop quick the next morning. Some liquor stores even deliver.

Have a wonderful cruise. :)

Yes they do sell liquor before noon on Sat.

The delivery service is interesting but might be too expensive if the grocery items you want are just water and soda. Any convenience store would carry those. But if you're wanting to pack your booze into a rum runner or other vessel for stowage in your checked luggage, a liquor store delivery might work, if they're open that late. MAy ask your hotel before you arrive.
