CCJack Posted March 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2010 Can anyone clarify. 8197 is shown as a straight balcony (not large) but it is listed as 1A. Does anyone know if this has a larger balcony?

Yes, it does have a large balcony. The deck plans on the Vista deck for Solstice Class ships are one off. All the 1A's do actually have large balconies, and the 2A's that appear to be on the slanted part of the hump in the deck plan are actually not on the slanted portion of the hump. I am not sure why the deck plans have not been corrected yet as it likely has misled some people. At least the category assignments are correct. Yep, we booked cabin 8232 shown as an angled hump on Vista. It is not. It is the first cabin on the flat part of the hump. Not a bad cabin at all but not what we thought we booked based on the Celebrity Vista deck plan. They really need to change this but not sure I can do anything about it now. We stayed in cabin #8197 on our recent Equinox cruise and I can tell you that it was the largest of the angled balconies. If you'd like a picture of the balcony, email me at shellybaillie@hotmail.com and I'll send you one.
