Does RCCL take the Prepaid Credit cards as form of payment?

I was hearing about "holds" and stuff they put on your funds if you use a debit card or credit card, I was wondering if I would purchase one of those pre paid credit cards would they accept it as a form of payment to hold your sign and sail card?

You would need to check the fine print. I know that the Amex cards werew not allowed to be used on cruise lines.

It really depends on the cards. Some of the ones that have your name printed on them they will take but most they won't.

 

If you are just trying to avoid holds, consider just prepaying funds into your onboard account to build up a balance instead of buying a card that may or may not work.

You can also pay with cash if you are worried about giving out your credit card number.

If you were planning to use a pre-paid card, just bring the cash instead....I mean, you PAY for the pre-paid card...why spend the extra? They will take cash!
