Hampton Inn- Blue Lagoon questions

After reading reviews and all the perks this hotel offers, I think we'll book a room here for our night before the cruise leaves but i just have a couple questions for those who have stayed there before...

 

1- we wont have a car. How easy will it be to find/get to a place for dinner the night we're there

 

2- how far/cost would a taxi be to the bayside market? Would a taxi be the best way to get there? Is bayside market worth going to? Better shopping area?

 

3- how close is the nearest grocery store to buy last minute drinks/snacks to take on the cruise

1- we wont have a car. How easy will it be to find/get to a place for dinner the night we're there Across the street there were an Italian place (looked nice), Chinese, and Cuban (Casa Juan - great food & good prices), plus Stabucks, Burger King and other fast food options.

 

2- how far/cost would a taxi be to the bayside market? Would a taxi be the best way to get there? Is bayside market worth going to? Better shopping area? All depends upon how much time you have after check-in.

$25 each way - not worth it in my opinion. Better to spend your afternoon at the pool.

3- how close is the nearest grocery store to buy last minute drinks/snacks to take on the cruise Publix grocery store is across the street, along with a liquor store for those last minute cruise supplies.:D

we stayed there precruise and it was a great choice. . everything is right across the street like the above poster stated. Bayside market is a great place to visit if you have the time and don't mind the cab fare.
