urgent passport question

I just booked a last minute cruise leaving february 5th, my passport expires in july (5 months from the cruise). I didn't think there would be a problem, but I just read that the island of Roatan only accepts US passports within 6 months of expiration. Can someone confirm or deny this?? Will they not let me board the ship if my passport expires in 5 months?....Please advise me...Thanks

If you are actually going to be staying in or departing from Roatan, then you would need the 6 months passport. As a pax on the ship you can actually have an expired passport for identification.

Verify this with your cruiseline, but I believe it is true.smile.gif
