mkluvs2cruise Posted April 2, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Has any one ever stayed here before? Is there anything near by? Any idea how much a taxi is to Dolphin Mall or Bayside? Any help would be great thanks!
black forest Posted April 2, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 2, 2010 We stayed there overnight about 3 years ago. But we didn't leave the hotel until next day to get a rental car and left for Orlando. We ate at the restaurant there and liked the food. We would stay there again, it was a nice hotel.
jjb415 Posted April 2, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 2, 2010 Here is a link that mentions shuttle service to the Dolphin Mall. I've seen the shuttle leaving from the Wyndham Miami Airport recently and it appears that it also serves the Miami Aiport Hilton: http://www.shopdolphinmall.com/infodesk/visitors/126.html
royalcruz Posted April 2, 2010 #4 Share Posted April 2, 2010 I stayed at another hotel, and went to the Hilton for drinks on a Friday night. They had a good female singer in the lounge. It's a good mile walk to Publix and a few casual restaurants; there is nothing else around other than hotels.
mkluvs2cruise Posted April 3, 2010 Author #5 Share Posted April 3, 2010 thanks for the information, we got the room about $60 less than the regular rate so can't be that bad, has to be better than the la quinta or the day inn miami aiport east! Stayed there before won't make those mistakes although la quinta wasn't horrible just run down and nothing around.
DaveyT Posted April 3, 2010 #6 Share Posted April 3, 2010 We stayed there before our cruise in 2005. We also ate at the hotel restaurant and thought it was good. The hotel and outside grounds are very nice. We didn't go out anywhere and stayed there for the whole time. We were there for only 1 night. We would definitely stay there again, but if you are looking for more things to do, I suggest staying somewhere downtown near Bayside Marketplace and the Port. I have stayed at the Miami Airport Hilton serveral times in the past and always enjoyed the facilities. The stores mentioned that are located 1 mile away could make for a nice walk if the weather isn't too hot. Have a great trip !! :)
love2vacation Posted April 4, 2010 #8 Share Posted April 4, 2010 Stayed pre-cruise in 2009. The shuttle picked us up from the airport which saves one taxi fare. The grounds are nice. There are pictures of the on our webpage. It would be Jewel 2009 tab.
