Rhodes Private Tours

Our TA recommended that we find a walking tour when we get off the ship. She has been there twice and found it very simple to find good English speaking tour guides that you can bargain with. That's what we're planning on doing, anyway! I'll keep my eye on this thread in case anyone has any other suggestions.

We are not sure where you would want to go with a private tour. We have found 3 things worthy of port days on Rhodes. Walking around old town, and possibly new town, both within a short walk of the ship, is fine. A guide book is a lot cheaper then a private guide to walk around the town. Some also like to head over to Lindos which can be done by taxi or bus, but we find Lindos a bit disappointing and hate all the venders that set-up in on the walk to the ruins. The third thing are the beaches, and Rhodes has some excellent sandy beaches. In fact, Rhodes is a major destination for many European who go there for the beaches.
