Postponing cruise

I have read that if something comes up you may pay a fee to postpone your cruise for up to a year. Is this true and if so, how do you go about doing that?

If you are booked Early Saver with it's accompanying non-refundable deposit, prior to Final Payment you CAN cancel and re-book a different cruise for $50pp Penalty. If you cancel and re-book at same time, your ES deposit will be applied toward your subsequent deposit; otherwise you'll be given a Future Cruise Credit to be applied toward cruisefare and you'll have to re-deposit when you re-book. ken
