IAH to Hobby -

Our flight to Hawaii is out of IAH, but our Southwest flight lands in Hobby. What's the distance and what is the best and/or cheapest way to get from IAH to Hobby? Thanks

Bummer! - The airports are about 30 miles apart. Taxi would be little over $50.00. I think there are some shuttles that might be cheaper. Try looking at the Houston Airport Website under ground transportation, there are several shuttles listed. Good Luck. http://iah.houstonairportsystem.org/

If there's two of you, Taxi and shuttle are probably about the same price - and Taxi is quicker and more convenient.

Look up the Houston yellow pages on the internet and book a car service. Most are the same cost as a taxi. The cars are more comfortable (usually, Lincolns) and the best part is the drivers actually know how to drive. Lately, the taxi drivers I've had in Houston, particularly from Hobby, have been among the worst anywhere. Stars Towncar Limo Service (I am in no way associated with that business) has been a good choice for me. There are others just as good.

Thanks for your input. We're thinking that a one way rental with a car might be a good choice for us.

American can fly you there, but you have to change planes in Dallas LOL
