1st time to Belize, what should we do?

Going on the Legend on May 23rd.

 

We booked a Grand Cayman excursion through Carnival

Cozumel is cozumelbarhop.com

Roatan is with Victor Bodden

 

That leaves the Belize port.....Any suggestions appreciated. My wife wants to go to the beach, is there a beach to go to at this port?

This will probably be moved to the Belize Port of Call boards. No real beaches near Belize City. If Carnival still has a Bannister island Beach Break ( and I think they dropped it) that's your best beach bet.

 

Otherwise, cave-tubing or mayan ruin tours are what a lot of cruisers do in Belize. But anything outsid eof walking or horse buggy tours of Belize City, you probably should book a ship excursion over private vendors if the excursion is over 3-4 hours in length.

A lot of folks, myself included, recommend the cave tubing.

It is one of my favorite excursions.

We did a Carnival excursion to go snorkeling on the reef. It was amazing! and well worth the price.

I would definitely recommend booking an excursion in this port. We did the Altun Ha & Belize City Bus Tour. I absolutely loved it (it was unBELIZEable...hah.)

I would say whatever you do make sure to book directly with Carnival. I have been told it is the safest way to go. We booked a catamaran through Carnival. Can't wait. :D

Not rushed at all Kurbanfan. In fact we did the ATV/Cave tubing combo. Left at 9:15 am and were back by 2:00
