It depends on the ship you're sailing on.

With the exception of the suites, the Fantasy Class (Fantasy, Ecstasy, Imagination, Inspiration, Sensation, Fascination and Elation) do not have hair dryers. The cabins in all other classes of ships have hair dryers. They're located in one of the drawers of the desk/dressing tables...

The hair dryers I have TRIED using on the ships, took me forever to dry my hair. I now bring my own.

On some of the ships they are not the most powerful thiongs around. Standing on the bow might dry your hair faster.

Hair dryers on the ships that we've been on were never powerful enough, took forever to dry my hair. Always bring my own.

Besides what everyone says about the lack of power, and how long it takes to dry your hair, another problem with the hairdryers ( and they all were this way ) you have to keep your finger pressed down on the power button! Some folks have suggested bringing an elastic band to wrap around the button to keep it down. I still use it though, because a hair dryer is one thing that I hate to have to pack. I just grin/grit my teeth and bear it!:D

Do you need a special adaptor? I brought my travel hair dryer on my last cruise and it wouldnt work. I can't remember exactly why it didn't work....if the plug didn't fit, or if it just didn't turn on. But it had worked in the hotel room the day before.

I need power - not just a whisper of air.

It depends on the ship. Fantasy class do not. What ship are you on?

They have a LIMITED number of hairdryers to loan out and if you wait until you see your cabin steward you may not get one.

 

So if you are on a Fantasy class either bring one or go to the Guest Services desk and request one as soon as you get on the ship.

Im glad to know the Fascination does not have an in-room hair dryer in my class. I have short hair and had just decided to take my chances with the one in the room. Now that I know there is not one,Ill be taking mine now. Thanks!:D

Go to a public restroom and use the hand dryer. :)

If you have short short hair thats not thick you will be fine with the hair dryers on the ship, otherwise bring your own!!
