shoegal24 Posted April 15, 2010 #1 Share Posted April 15, 2010 We're cruising to Alaska next summer and we have a balcony on the Century (1005). It's on the left side at the very front of the ship. Is the port side a good side to see the glacier? Does it make a difference where your balcony is?
dszrew Posted April 15, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 15, 2010 When we went to Hubbard, the ship rotates so that all angles can see the glacier. The best place to be is on the front of the ship where the helicopter would land. They open this up for glacier viewing. The second best place to be is in an aft cabin as you'd get to see the glacier the entire time you're sailing away...
eandj Posted April 15, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 15, 2010 Like the Panama Canal cruise and entering Venice, you will find that the best place to view anything spectacular is on deck, not on your balcony where the full 360 view is impossible.
