Tipping the shuttle service

How much do you tip the shuttle from LAX hotel to the pier? Do you tip by bags or by person? Also, on the free shuttle from the airport to the hotel, do you also tip the driver?:)

I tip the driver by number of people. If you request a stop for water or soda, then tip a little more. Tip the porters by the bags. And yes, tip the driver on the free shuttle, it does not have to be much, but I'm sure they appreciate it.

I usually tip at 10% of the fare on shuttles, regardless of the location.

We usually tip 10% of the fare for the SuperShuttle type ride. And a $1 or more a person for the "free" shuttle driver depending on the service. Did he/she just pick up and drop off or did they help get the luggage on and off. For cruises usually a lot of luggage, for a two day business trip a rollaboard and a briefcase is a different matter.
