Dos Equis...Light or Dark ?

I am sitting here day dreaming about our upcoming cruise on the Emerald Princess. I can see myself basking in the sun by the adult only pool on the rear of the ship with a bucket of Dos Equis by my side. However, I can't tell if the Dos Equis is lager or amber. Does anyone know if Princess carries lager Dos Equis in the green bottle, or amber Dos Equis in the brown bottle or both ? I really need to know in order to continue my day dreaming !

Thank you in advance for any advice.

"Dos Equis

Dos Equis is a pale lager that was originally brewed by the German-born Mexican brewer Wilhelm Hasse in 1897. The brand was named "Siglo XX" ("20th century") to commemorate the arrival of the new century, and the bottles were marked with the Roman numerals "XX", or "Dos Equis" (two Xs).

The main brand Dos Equis XX Special Lager is a 4.45% abv pale lager sold in green bottles.[5] Dos Equis XX Amber is a 4.7% Vienna-style amber lager sold in brown bottles,[6] and was first exported to the United States in 1973.[7]

"The Most Interesting Man in the World" advertising campaign for Dos Equis features actor Jonathan Goldsmith as the spokesman, with Frontline narrator Will Lyman conducting voiceovers "

I didn't know Cliff Clavin was posting on Cruise Critic! ;)

I can't top that dissertation, but on the Emerald just a couple of months ago, the answer to the OP's question was "green".

Bruce, do you always photograph your beer? ;)

LOL! Fair question. No not always, in fact rarely up until our Jan. cruise, but on this trip beer bottles and those bottles contents were of great interest to me. ;)

Bruce, my first Dos Equis aboard the Ruby tomorrow will be for you. Enjoy, even if it is green. :D

That's nice of you! How about a Strawberry Daiquiri also? :)

You have a wonderful cruise! I have to say I'm quite impressed,or would that be jealous, of your list of upcoming cruises.

Nope. Daquiri too fattening, so beer it is. And not too much of that either. :) I usually stick to black coffee and diet Pepsi. I bring my own since the ship's only use Coke products.

You can be jealous, but please, not impressed. It took many years of work to be able to do this now.

BTW, your photos are gorgeous.
