burrma Posted October 9, 2006 #3207 Share Posted October 9, 2006 I checked the cost of the soda card - 3.95 per day. Susan Does that mean you can buy it some days and not others? On all other crusies I've been on, you had to buy it for the entire cruise.

cruisesusie Posted October 10, 2006 #3209 Share Posted October 10, 2006 You have to buy the soda for the entire cruise. Sorry - that did sound confusing. Susan

augie Posted October 13, 2006 #3213 Share Posted October 13, 2006 Posting from the Internet Cafe as we sail towards St. Thomas. Embarkation was smooth, we had almost 50 folks at our CC sail away party, and it was great putting faces with names and having "instant friends" on board. Ship looks to be in great shape - our aft balcony cabin B750 is awesome! Weather has been perfect - a short rain shower yesterday, but we were already back from Princess cays by that time. Have had breakfast in the dining room each day, lunch in Verdi's yesterday and in Horizon Court today - no complaints about either. Late traditional seating in Regency dining room - first night ran late, maybe due to everyone having to be escorted to their tables. We have a very electic froup of five couples, but we are all getting along great. Saw the comedian last night in the Vista lounge, we liked him. I haven't seen any of the production shows, and probably won't, but my wife likely will tonight after formal dinner. Had trouble with wireless this morning , that's why I am posting from here now. I'll check back later!

Have Lots-O-Fun!!:) :)

70notout Posted October 17, 2006 #3221 Share Posted October 17, 2006 We are on the Sun Princess in July to Alaska. There is a group of 30 coming from New Zealand and to keep costs down our TA has booked us an Oceanview cabin on Plaza deck. Seems a long way down after our delightful balcony cabin on the Tahitian Princess cruise, but my question is where is the best and quickest viewing area to get to from Plaza deck? PhillyCruiser Posted October 17, 2006 #3222 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Hi, I happen to love those oceanview cabins on Plaza Deck. I also love balconies, but for longer or more expensive cruises I have no problem booking an oceanview cabin. To view glaciers, all you need do is take the elevator right by the Plaza Deck cabins all the way to the top deck, and then climb up one more flight to the highest deck of the ship. You will have magnificent views from there. I'm booked on Plaza Deck again for our Sea Princess cruise next summer. Can't wait! Joan
las313 Posted October 17, 2006 #3223 Share Posted October 17, 2006 We are looking for a place to hold a cc after muster drill get together. From the deck plans, I found rivera bar and horizon court. We want to be out on deck for sail-away. Would either of there work? Or do you have a better choice? Please let us know. cruiserforlife Posted October 17, 2006 Author #3224 Share Posted October 17, 2006 Typically, the Riviera bar is a natural choice and I have attended many a sailaway party there. That would be my choice.;)
dennbr9 Posted October 18, 2006 #3225 Share Posted October 18, 2006 We did ours there and it worked out fine, a bit noisey though. Glad to see this site still alive, I visited it often before our trip last January. Dennis
