Hi there, can anyone tell me whats the earliest you can disembark when back at Southampton please.

I have just got off independence in southampton and the self carry departure starts at approx 6:15 am .

Thats good to know. I think my choice of flights will be 8.25am or 10.55am. Do you think the 8.25 is realistic? The flights are from Southampton so its only a short distance to travel.

I would go for the 10.55 personally. The ship might be late in, and you may have to wait for transport from the docks.

I would take reading a book at an airport for a couple hours any day compared to stressing out possibly missing an early flight.

We have the choice of two flights, 0925 or 1600.We are hoping to catch the early flight so we don't have to sit around waiting all day.Theres nothing worse!

Hi

The airport is about 20mins from the port so you should easily make it. Taxi start to line up in the port at abour 5 am, so there shouldn't be a problem with transport. To take advantage of the early departure you must be able to carry all your luggage yourself. They will not offload it for you.

I'd say it was a bit further than 20 minutes..I work near the airport and the one time I tried to drive into Southampton city centre at lunch, it took me close to 40 minutes.

 

That said, it was heavy traffic, but I'd play it safe to be honest.

We have late flight and want to stay as long as possible !

Could it be around 11:00, or even later ?

All passengers should be disembarked by 9:30am latest.
