Cab or walk to town?

What is the best way to get to town? We are arriving on a Sunday - when are stores open? I know they close early on Sunday - we have an excursion arranged for the afternoon.

 

So, walk or take a cab? And how much is the cab for 4 of us?

Either is fine; the walk is about 20 minutes; use sunblock on legs, shoulders, wear a hat - its amazing how quickly you burn with the sun beeming down on you and then reflecting on the water to boot. The walk is along the waterfront/harbor most of the way, with a road on the opposite side.

 

Stores in Havensight should be open regular hours, 9-5 since a ship is in. Charlotte Amalie, about 9am to 1pm on Sundays.

 

If you choose to take a taxi its $3 per person each way.
