bigasufan Posted April 29, 2010 #2 Share Posted April 29, 2010 I have used the same TA for all 4 of our cruises. She is wonderful! On our very first cruise, we booked an outside room with a window. She emailed me after a couple of months and said that she had added $20 to my credit card because they had a balcony upgrade for $10 each! I was so thrilled that we've never gotten anything but a balcony. She watches for us to make sure we get any price cuts, and always has a gift in our room when we arrive. Frances, you're adorable. That being said, we shop around for a while and find the cruise that is a very good price and book, usually about 15-16 months ahead of time, so there is rarely a price drop. We've done four cruises, all from different ports. Our favorite so far has been when we sailed out of New Orleans.
Sugar*Magnolia Posted April 29, 2010 #3 Share Posted April 29, 2010 We use RCI, book far in advance for cabin selection. We watch for price reductions, call them for an adjustment. It works for us. Booking far in advance, you're guaranteed to find price reductions. (if you look)

janice4559 Posted April 29, 2010 #7 Share Posted April 29, 2010 Rules prevent us from giving out TA names. I know bad things are going to happen to me for this post but I can't help myself. Gee Pat, you're right. We can't post the name of your travel agency, but you can put it under your name!!
