Sitting Question

This has probably been asked and answered before, but I'm still pretty new. I was checking out some of the before you sail info on the Celebrity website. I noticed that there are sittings for breakfast and lunch in the DR. Hadn't noticed that before. If we are early sitting for dinner, does that mean we're early sitting for breakfast and lunch, too?

 

Since we're booked on an Alaska cruise and live on the east coast, we'll probably be on eastern time for several days so the first breakfast sitting will actually be on the late side for us for the first few days, and I know that we can eat at other venues than the DR. But I'm curious.

Breakfast and lunch are open seating. I am not sure of the hours but you just go to the dinning room and you will be seated. Have a great time on your upcoming cruise!

No, you can go to breakfast and lunch at whatever seating you want. You meet a lot more people that way too!

Hi the dining room opens at 7 ( I think) and breakfast ends there about 9:30-10...

The buffet upstairs has breakfast as well..with wider hours.

Works the same way for lunch. I believe lunch in the dining room begins 11:00-11:30...and runs till 2:00.

Buffet is open upstairs as well.

 

Since this is your first cruise, I would suggest giving both venues a try its all great

Eating in the dinning room for breakfast/lunch affords you the opportunity to meet new people,as the wait staff will guide you to a table.The food chices are different then the buffet and the wait staff pours your beverages,you order anything you want from the menu.You can always ask for things that are not listed,and if available the waiter will gladly bring it to you.The buffet is quicker,so if you are stressed for time pick the buffet.

We all have our own preferences. I can't recall eating the DR for breakfast or lunch in years. The buffet has a wider time "window", you can see the choices, and one can construct a truly custom meal. Personally, I like the omlette station at breakfast and the pasta station at lunch, which allow me to get a highly customized dish.

Boten, you missed the operative word in the initial post of "WE" several times. You know how hard it is getting a table for an odd number of people (and you are one of the oddest ones I know )

Thanks, I needed that. BTW: I'm not odd, I'm nut. And I didn't miss the "WE", but if the other half of "WE" still have a jet-lag and is sleepy, M/R can have breakfast with me.

My personal favorite sitting is in a chair. At a table. On a cruise ship. With food in front of me.
