Onboard Credit/Cash from Casino

Recommended Posts

I know this has been discussed before, but I can't seem to find it. Our friends/family chipped in and bought us $400 in OBC for our upcoming cruise on the Dawn. Two quick questions-

1) I'm assuming that I can use $168 of it to cover our daily service charge

2) If we want to get some of it out as cash (to cover expenses while we're off the ship) can we just go to the casino and take a portion of that money out?

3) What happens if there is a balance of Onboard credit at the end of the cruise (not that I anticipate that situation happening )

The OBC will be credited to your final bill regardless of what charges are on it. You may get cash from the casino against your cabin account (I think it is a $100 minimum). Because the OBC was purchased you should receive any unused OBC as a refund, but you should check with the credit desk to know for sure.

I dont think you will have that problem either...

The only thing is you have to have a credit card on file when you check in at the ships terminal in order to be able to get cash from the casino cashier against your onboard account. If you put cash towards your account at check in instead of a credit card, you will not be able to withdraw any from the casino cashier.
