Oahu Hummer Tour

Have just returned from Honolulu and have to recommend two things.

1) Ed Kos Hummer Tour - we took the "Movie Site Tour". It's a 5 hour tour (2 hours off road) that takes you to a valley in the middle of Oahu where "Jurassic Park", "Tears of the Sun", Windtalkers", "Brady Bunch movie", "50 First Dates", and numerous other movies and TV shows have been filmed..."Lost" is being filmed there now. For $79 pp, the tour includes hotel pick-up, a disc w/30 digital pictures taken by Ed, and an excellent, funny, and informative running commentary by Ed. We've taken a lot of tours and this was on that will forever stick out in my mind. To find out more, check out koshawaii.com. You can email Ed to make reservations and he'll actually reply almost immediately. Ithink the tour costs more if you book through an agent.

2) For an elegant special meal - Alan Wong's. Not a romantic setting, but the food and service is superb. If you're celebrating a special occasion, let them know and you will be in for a surprise. Not inexpensive, count on spending $75 pp including a reasonably priced wine, but worth it. There are a lot of restaurants you'll spend about the same which will not be worth it. The Poki Pines are delicious, as was the MahiMahi and Lamb Chops.
