Sunshine91 Posted May 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2010 On May 22 the Smithsonian Museum will open a new exhibit of Native Alaskan artifacts in Anchorage. Some of these 600 rare objects have never been seen in public before. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/05/06/AR2010050605690.html Looks like the Anchorage Museum is a nice walk from the Westmark, where HAL puts AK cruise-tour guests. If you've got time to kill before your bus, train or plane leaves, this might be something to check out. :)

Nancyquilts Posted May 11, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2010 That should be great. In past years we've seen some Smithsonian exhibits there, and the new one should be even better. Everyone who can, please enjoy it. We're leaving from Anchorage on the 21st after our granddaughter graduates from high school. :(
Krazy Kruizers Posted May 11, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 11, 2010 Sounds wonderful -- and to think we won't be able to see it.
