tom_uk Posted May 11, 2010 #1 Share Posted May 11, 2010 This year's brochure, and some of this year's cruises, feature a program called 'Tate Talks' - art experts from the Tate giving presentations about art. I thought this might be quite interesting, and (quite by chance) it so happens that our forthcoming cruise on Ventura will feature these Tate Talks. However, I see that the 2011 brochure makes no mention of them at all. Does anyone know how the Tate Talks so far this year have gone? Have they in fact occurred? And does anyone know why they've been dropped from next year's programme?
jeanlyon Posted May 13, 2010 #2 Share Posted May 13, 2010 Hi Tom, I think I read on another thread that they are not doing them in 2011.
StLucia Posted May 14, 2010 #3 Share Posted May 14, 2010 I don't know what the future plans are for Tate Talks but we attended a number of the talks on our 2008 transatlantic. They were extremely good and well worth going to if you have an interest in modern art.
Brayman Posted May 18, 2010 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2010 I attended two of the Tate talks on Oriana last week and they were very good indeed. Quite good attendance too, I think there were three different people from Tate on board sharing the sessions.
