Beware of the Coffee Cup

Recommended Posts

First Off I am in no way putting blame on RCCL.

Last month while onboard the oasis I purchased an inaugural season coffee cup from the gift shop.

by mistake I put it in the dishwasher. Now I have a nice BLUE coffee cup with no writing or picture on it. It all washed away. :(

I dont remember seeing or reading not dishwasher safe but oh well my fault.

Just a heads up to everyone HAND WASH the BLUE Coffee Cup.

When I looked at them back in January, I recall seeing something that said they were not dishwasher safe. I past on the opportunity to purchase one. For the price they were asking, the writing on those cups should have a glaze over them that would protect them in the dishwasher. But that's just my opinion. I'm sure there are a lot of people who buy them to display and not to actually use.

That's a shame and I'm glad I saw this....my DH loves to get those! However, we got one from Liberty from our 10/08 sailing and we've washed it in the dishwasher many, many times and it's fine!! :) :)All the gold is still on the blue mug, so would have never thought twice about the one I KNOW () he will buy on Oasis in June!!! Wonder why this one would not be dishwasher safe......

Glad to have the heads up....;)
