cruztime Posted January 31, 2005 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2005 My favorite is Jack and the lemonade that makes a very tasty Lynchburg Lemonade.
pungo3 Posted January 31, 2005 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2005 The free fruit punch goes great with rum or vodka. Trust me, I've had PLENTY of it. Also, in the mornings, orange juice is free. Go early and fill a large travel mug (that you bring with you) It will be enough for 3 or 4 drinks. I also don't mind the free lemonade with rum or vodka. I've never been desperate enough to mix it with the tea. I stock up in the morning on OJ and then drink the punch and/or lemonade the rest of the day. Sometimes they also have grapefruit juice in the morning. Oh, and if you ask one of the servers very nicely, they will even give you free tomato juice. YUM!!!! Have a great cruise. tef43 Posted January 31, 2005 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2005 Who needs mixers? The recipe for a Hand Grenade is *all* liquor. 1 Part - Gin 1 Part - Grain Alcohol 1 Part - Melon liqueur 1 Part - Rum 1 Part - Vodka
kattie89 Posted January 31, 2005 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2005 Desperate enough to mix w/ tea??? Nothing beats a nice Vodka and Iced Tea (sweetened of course)...Mmmmm, yummy. :)
kujobie Posted January 31, 2005 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2005 Rum goes nicely with the fruit punch and lemonade. Get OJ from the breakfast buffet or from room service to make screwdrivers. Get milk from the breakfast buffet for White Russians. I also read a great tip from someone who used ice cream and made frozen White Russians. Just use a little less kahlua and a little more vodka or it will be really sweet/rich.
Littlegoo75 Posted January 31, 2005 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2005 Pick up some soft drinks at the first port of call you go to. Last cruise, I had inadvertently snuck on some of those mini bottles that I left in one of the pouches in my suitcase, and I mixed it with the fruit punch. Also, maybe bring some of those little Crystal light packs...... You can always do shots too!
htkodiak Posted February 1, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 1, 2005 Our usual scam,I mean routine, is to bring a box of wine for wine coolers. The kids get drink cards at the beginning of the cruise and are glad to get us sprite to mix with our cheap wine for a cool refreshing drink. Congratulations you have stumbled upon a Canadian military secret recipe,up here we call a "frozen white russian" Moose Milk.It is a necessity for survival on survival training in the cold winter weather.I won't tell you what the lumps of ice cream are suppose to symbolize on the moose anatomy.:D
lnm Posted February 1, 2005 #11 Share Posted February 1, 2005 Banana Rum (pick up some little bottles while in port) is great with fruit punch. Personally I bring some Crystal lite raspberrry and lemonade to mix with vodka. Also lower in calories! Saves room for the chocolate!
Littlegoo75 Posted February 1, 2005 #12 Share Posted February 1, 2005 speaking of Peach Shnaps, mix vodka, peach schnaps, and sprint or seven up, and it is SO good!

mjmiller Posted February 1, 2005 #14 Share Posted February 1, 2005 I'm doing it the easy way - a bottle of White Russian. Kahlua sells it already premade. No need to do anything except keep it chilled!

phlydude Posted February 2, 2005 #18 Share Posted February 2, 2005 I have heard its hard to find but I have no problems getting it in the land of no sales tax (DE) in all the liquor stores by me. $19.99 per 750mL. Strawberry lemonade - yummy! I'm serious, if it is mixed properly, you can't tell that there is vodka in it - dangerous!! :D
antcindee Posted February 2, 2005 #19 Share Posted February 2, 2005 Hey Dennis, I live for danger LOL, guess I will go out looking for it here today in Sunny South Florida, it sounds so good I think its a must for Sundays game!!!
phlydude Posted February 2, 2005 #20 Share Posted February 2, 2005 Not for me - Sunday's game calls for beer, beer and more beer (and it might be green like St Pat's Day) for when we cheer on the Eagles to victory!!
