Casa Del Mar or Baymont Inn ?

Recommended Posts

we stayed at the Baymont before Ike. It had some serious damage from Ike, but I would imagine it's all been repaired. It was brand new in 2007 and quite nice for the $$.

Casa Del Mar is prefab condos that were built in 1978 or 79. (I lived there at the time and we toured them before the opening) They sleep 6 or 8, have a kitchen, etc. It's probably not where you'd want to just spend the night before leaving on a cruise. Both of them are on the Seawall and not real close to the pier. The Baymont is farther down the west end than Casa del Mar. Not that anything on the island is very far- it's not that wide!

Between the two of them, I would take the Baymont myself.
