Southeast Texas/Western Caribbean climate?

I've lived on the Upper Texas Gulf Coast my entire life... I'm used to the heat and the humidity (well as much as anyone can be LOL!). How does the climate in the Western Caribbean compare? Thoughts?

Thanks!

I live just north of Houston, so I know what you mean about heat and humidity here.

For me the only difference is that I need higher SPF sunscreen when I cruise. Tropical sun is a killer!

Also, it doesn't seem quite as humid, but maybe I just ignore it because I'm on vacation...maybe it's the wind, I don't know.

Happy Sailing!

Sounds exactly like our weather! I can handle that :)

Thanks!

The closer to the equator the hotter?? We were in Roatan last week and I was sweating profusely.. hot (about 89) and humid. ..but beautiful. Not a cloud in the sky from what I remember.
