Early saver deposit

Hi,

I am thinking of booking the Carnival Magic for the sailing to the Mediterranean next year. But just wondering how early saver works. If I book early saver there is about a $200 plus price difference. But if I decide to go to another cruise or do a land vacation next year my deposit will be lost if I book early saver is that true. Should I just wait til more information about the ship and sailing and excursions are revealed.

If you cancel, Carnival charges 50.00 pp for the cancel, and the rest of the deposit goes into a 2 year credit for a future booking.

You only lose $50 pp if you decide to cancel or change to another cruise. The rest of your deposit is held for 2 years by Carnival toward another cruise.

 

If you intend to cruise within 2 years, then you are only risking $50 pp.

You could always book it without the ES rate and switch into the program later this year.
