FLOURTOWN Posted February 1, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 1, 2005 Short Message - Just returned from the Victory. If you have a cabin on deck 6 between 6223 and 6243 contact your travel agent and CHANGE YOUR CABIN! There is a noise in the ceiling in the hallway that they cannot fix. When the ship is underway, the noise will keep you awake. They tried to compensate by giving us a bottle of champagne however that did not fix the problem. Also, if you have an early flight before 1PM, do not plan on catching the flight. We did not get off the ship until 11:50 am. They do not ask in advance if you have an early flight. They disembark by decks. It does not matter what deck you are on. They allowed deck 2 and 3 to disembark before the cabins with a balcony. These are the only problems we had. The service was very good and we would sail Carnival again.

chieft26 Posted February 1, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 1, 2005 Did they give any reason for why it took so long to disembark? Also, were you on the eastern route that goes through immigration in St Thomas?
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted February 1, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 1, 2005 Thank you for letting us know of this problem. We had to downgrade out cabin category on the main deck but at least we won't be up at night with that noise, many thanks.
Cruisebride2005 Posted February 4, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2005 I was also on this cruise however would add that the reason that disembarkation took so long is that there was a medical emergency when we left St Martin that meant that we had to stop in St Thomas for several hours. This made us several hours late arriving in Miami. By the way, if you have an early flight, special arrangements can be made to get you off earlier...friends of ours had no problems.
