Passport card????

What exactly is a passport card? Does it work the same as a passport an in if you miss the ship? Where can you get one? How long does it take? Is it worth it?

It will allow you to exit and enter the US from the ship, but it can not be used for flying.

Its only good for land and sea crossings. So if you miss your ship and need to fly back its no good. Wont work for air travel. Get a regular passport book and your covered for 10 years for air-land and sea.

You can get one anywhere where you can get a passport, such as a local post office. How soon you would receive it is variable. Probably anywhere from 2-6 weeks. Although it's a little cheaper than a passport book, the card doesn't help you much. It was designed mainly for people who have to frequently travel back and forth between Canada and Mexico by land.
