Strollers in Old San Juan

We will be traveling with 2 babies under the age of 2. I have read that the streets in Old San Juan are very rough. Is it possible to use a stroller in Old San Juan or not worth it?

The sidewalks are very narrow and rough. I think that it would be difficult, but what would your alternative be? I can't imagine them walking much. Maybe you have the backpack carriers?

I would estimate that the sidewalks in San Juan are about 3 feet wide at most, plus you could reach out and touch the cars and trucks driving by. We saw several people in wheelchairs and a couple of people pushing strollers and they all looked like they were having a tough time. All in all, might be a good place to find a sitter if you want to explore SJ.
