Voyager May 30

Recommended Posts

First of all..we had a great five days.

Dropped off at Bayonne at 2:30 p.m. Went right through the registration. Sat in large reception room until 5:45 p.m. when we were called to get number 7 shuttle to the ship. Waiting area provided restrooms, music, ice water, cakes and lots of chatter.

After going to our comfortable stateroom (7578)and meeting our friendly and caring attendent Shano we had a very good served dinner, open sitting in the Carman dining room. Departure at night was really great, although it was very cold and windy. NY at night, Statue of Liberty and going under Narrows bridge all good.

We went on the Bay of Fundy Up Close tour and in Halifax, Peggy's Cove Fishing Village tour. Both were very informative and quite well presented by the guides. Wish we had more time a Peggy's Cove.We did the tours in the morning, went back to the ship for lunch and walked around town in the afternoon.

We had main sitting in the La Boheme. Food was good, nicely presented and waiters were friendly, attentive and fun. We met a very nice family from Japan.

Departure was okay and we were home in Bensalem, the home of Smarty Jones, by 2:30 p.m. All in all it was fun and I think I am a devout to RCI.

Any questions, Bill and I are happy to respond. Bon voyage!!

Were there many kids and young people on the cruise? taking this ship to Canada on 8/8 and am hoping my 10 year old and 25 year old find plenty to do and people to hang out with.

How was the entertainment?

Someone wrote that you could not get your eggs any way you wanted them in the Windjammer. Is this true? Are they only serving omelets? And do they have salmon for breakfast? Thanks

It's true that you can only get omelets at the buffet. You had to go to the dining room to get fried eggs.

There were a good many kids on board. I would think in the summer, there will be many more. This ship is incredible with things for young people to do. The rock wall, the inline skating, the miniature golf, ice skating, etc.

P.S. There was salmon for breakfast.

The entertainment was good - I don't know if children would enjoy it.
