Marriott Stellaris v. El Convento

Hi there,

 

We will be celebrating our honeymoon Celebrity Summit in October and have a 4 night pre cruise stay currently book at the Marriott. We are wondering if anyone can give us some insight, how does it stack up with El Convento. The glaring difference for us is the proximity to the beach, both have great amenities and are in safe areas with lots of restaurants nearby. We are really struggling with making a choice and hoping you all could give us some feedback.

I am a fan of the Marriott .. have not stayed at the El Convento in 15 years. Prefer beach, pool and ammenities of the Marriott. Several good restaurants within walking distance too. Can take a cab to Old San Juan or take a public bus (safe and cheap).
