How Long Have You Thrown The Dice???

For the craps players in the house, what is the longest you personally have held (thrown) the dice.

For me I think it was on the CCL Freedom, Oct. of 09 and someone said I threw for 35 minutes.

The table was packed and nothing was happening until the dice came to me.

We were all having a blast and I had people wanting to buy me drinks and thanking me when I finally 7'ed out. Everyone except the dark side players made alot of money. Good times.:D

The first time I played I would guess I held them for 40 minutes (Maybe it was only 10-15 minutes) but there was lots of yelling and happy players, this was before I knew what odds, pressing, come bets or hardways was/were. Since I learned how to play I have never held the dice for more than 10-15 minutes. I did hold them 15 minutes once when I was the only player on the table turned $54 across into $1,000 in the rail and $800 in action when I 7'ed out.

I don't play to win a little bit, I press and power press my bets. More often than not I leave the table after 5 minutes with nothing, but when I win I quadruple or better my bankroll.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO F22Smitty: Several times I have held the dice for an hour or more. Usually when at least one person is rolling well people have a good time. I've also noticed sometimes everyone will pass to allow the hot shooter to roll. However, most of the time on a cruise ship most people want to roll the dice. Everyone usually has a good time on a cruise ship. After all, you are on vacation.

I had about a 15 minute roll this past weekend.

My first three rolls were the good ol' "Yo Eleven". The guy beside me bought in for $500 and had $25 down on it the first time, $100 the second and $200 the third. Do the math on that - from about $500 to $5000 in a few minutes...needless to say he was a little happy.

About a half hour. Was At the Showboat in AC. When I asked to color out, the boxman asked me for my name. I asked why he wanted to know, he replied "because we're giving you black." I replied, "so give me green!" I got the purple and black without another word.

Playing the darkside, it seems like I have had some extremely long rolls. On RCCL a few weeks ago I would have won a lot of money if they had a firebet. I hit five different points in one roll. Cleaned myself out of a lot of cash. I was at the table myself...so I had no one to pass them to and no one to blame but myself...yuck.

Threw for about an hour and 15 minutes tto 1 1/2 hours at the Paris in Vegas. It was my last chance to play before we were leaving and made our whole groups flight home bery happy. Had a great short visit that week with a couple of buddies. Had a similar but a little shorter role at O'shea's a couple of days earlier but with smaller bets. Once of the best weeks of gambling we ever had. Too bad these come few and far between.

I hope somebody on that table at Paris placed a bet on the "FIRE BET" If you was hitting different points somebody would have won a lot of money

I don't know the "fire bet" but i think i hit 8 or 9 points in a row. We each walked with 3-5K just playing the pass and a couple of comes. Now if I could only get that lucky when i go to AC every couple of weeks.

I was in Vegas last week and rolled over 25 times( Fremont has a counter) and wasn't making hardly any points as I kept rolling craps and boxcars and 4,10, which I rarely play. I only walked away with about $50 dollars, the guys at the other end made a ton as they saw what type of a streak I was on. Got a free hat as a consolation :D

When I first learned to play craps I was at Bill's in Vegas, Didn't have a clue what the fire bet was and was working on my 5th point. People were whooping and hollering and I'm sure I looked like a deer caught in the headlights. I was getting scared to roll as I didn't know what the heck was happening:o:D

I keep track of every roll I make with the dice. Time is a variable because you will make a lot more throws if you are on a table by yourself versus a full table with tons of hop bets and hardways etc. With a full table you would be lucky to make one roll every minute and a half. So time of your roll doesn't tell the story.

My personal record is 48 throws in a hand and I've been in the 40's 10 times over the last 2 years.

I'm not sure of my longest roll, but the most memorable for me was at a local indian casino. I'm not a high roller. I think this was a $5 min table, and I generally play minimum bet, pass and 2 comes (sometimes place 6 and 8). This was my very first time at this particular casino.

Anyway I walked up to the table, bought in for $100 and was the next shooter. One of the dealers left for a break shortly after I started and came back from their break and said "Are you still shooting?" (I was) Their breaks are either 15 or 20 minutes, so I was probably rolling for 25-30 minutes.

Anyway, when I got done I may have stayed a bit longer to be sure the table didn't stay hot, then I went to cash in. I had $500. I had $8 left in loose chips and I put it down and said something like "Dealer's Choice". Usually they will just put it on Yo or a hard-way or something (I generally also try to tip the dealers during a hot roll by doing passline with odds or place bets for them).

The dealer suggested I put my own $5 place bet on the 9 and $3 for them and see where it went. Okay I did that. 9, 9, etc. etc. Pressed it and maybe added in a few other place numbers. By the time I was done the $5 was $150 and the $3 was at least $50 in tokes for them.

Been afraid to go back in case I used up all my luck!

The guy next to me put 25$ on the horn i hit horn 9 straight times and he kept parlaying or pressing the bet. In about 10minutes he had a lot of money

I came across this thread and had to post about my recent trip on NCL Pearl Alaska Sailing.

I used to play craps and then gave it up to play 3 card -and some other things. I got tired of the grumpy old men who would be around the table and they would whine and moan yada yada.

So I think this was on day 4 of the trip. Port of call was Skagway-went on a gorgeous train ride , then went into town to shop and I ended up in a Jewelry Store and bought myself two beautiful pieces of jewelry and then purchased my mom a gold whales tail. So with this being said I got back on the ship went to the cabin and said to my mom ..I'm heading to the CRAPS TABLE tonight. I'm dressing up , looking good and feeling good. After dinner, had a few glasses of Champagne and I started to approach the table but I turned away due to bad vibe I have no clue but walked away. Had a few more glasses of Champagne  and then....

I came back within 20 mins to about 1/2 hr after walking away and got ahold of dice for 2 hrs. Yep. I rolled for a good 2 hrs. One of the guys in the group who has been in the casino business over 30 yrs said he has never seen anything like it in all of his life.

Needless to say NCL Casino was not liking me that night due to in our group out of Cleveland we had some heavy betters who were cleaning up the table. The rack got cleaned out at least 3 times during my roll and then the last rack they brought in to pay everyone was $1000.00 chips.

I paid for my jewelry that night (thanks for the nice tips) made money...and had a great time. We had such good Karma at that table and all went well. If anyone comes across this thread that was on this sailing at or around the table -You know who I am! Nice meeting all of you and take care!

Off to Biloxi on Monday! ;)

There's always hope.

Officials at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City said the woman boughtinto the craps game for $100 on Saturday. She then proceeded to make the 154 rolls, spanning 4 hours and 18 minutes, before failing to make her point by rolling thedastardly "7" and crapping out. Neither the casino nor DeMauro declared how muchmoney she won during the streak. She did state this was only her second attemptto play the craps tables, and that with her winnings she was going to take her grandkidsto Disney World. The casino treated DeMauro and her friend to champagne, dinner, and a free room to further celebrate her run on the table.[10]

Give me a 2 hour roll and I'll pay for my house and have enough left to put 2 VERY nice cars in the garage. Longest rolls I've been on a table for were 20 minutes and made several thousand on those.

Jet, when I was a break-in and working at the Golden Gate, we had an hour roll 1 time where the biggest bet at the end of the roll was a $12 6. Got to LOVE rookie players.
