Questions about three traditional dining times

Princess now offers three time for traditional dining; for example 5:30, 6:00 and 8:30. I assume that one of the anytime dining rooms is reserved for traditional dining during the early evening hours and then is switched to anytime dining later on.

Can anyone confirm that this is how it works and if so, would it be the 5:30 or the 6:00 that is in the anytime dining room?

My guess is that they will use a section of an Anytime dining room. In the case of the Sapphire and Diamond which have four Anytime dining rooms, I'm guessing that they'd use one of those. Several ships have just one Anytime dining room so it makes sense that they'd use just a section. That's the way HAL does their Open seating with Traditional in the same dining room, i.e., one section is for Traditional, the rest is for Open.

I am guessing based on e-mail I received that the 5:30 seating will be in a anytime dining room. See below and make you own guess:

We’re pleased to announce that an additional Traditional Dining seating is now available on your upcoming voyage. The new seating time at 5:30 pm is in response to the high demand we’ve received for our 6:00 pm seating, and will be offered in a separate dining room. If you wish to change your current dining selection to the new 5:30 pm Traditional seating time, please contact your travel agent to book, as space is limited.

Thank you and we look forward to welcoming you aboard soon!
