Food- what is allowed?

What food can be taken off the ship at port? I would be bringing some things from home, not taking them from the buffet.

I understand no fresh fruit or veggies. I have read some posts about granola bars and packaged cereal being OK?

What about (Assume all is packaged and unopened)....

cheese stick

sleeve Ritz crackers

golf fish crackers

apple sauce

Yogurt

Lunchabe (crackers, cheese, meat)

peanutbutter

Sara Lee or other name brand bagel or bread in original bag/packaging

packaged dried fruit

The items you listed above should be fine..I have yet to see anyone searching you as you get off the ship..just insert your SeaPass card and walk off..Enjoy !!!

It is my understanding that you can't bring food that requires refridgeration such as yogurt, meat and cheese. The rest of your list is fine. The fridges in cabins are more like glorified coolers and generally do not keep perishables cold enough to prevent spoilage, however it may depend on which cruiseline you are going with.
