Help! Leaving tomorrow. Need Sorrento/Amalfi Coast/Capri suggestions

We are doing a 7 day cruise, then 2 days in Rome and 2 days in Sorrento post cruise. We already are planning on Pompeii on the way to Sorrento and have that tour booked. What do you recommend for Day 2 if we want to see as much as possible. Is a drive along the Amalfi Coast AND Capri doable in 1 day? Suggestions on how to do it?

If you are not racing to get back to a ship, yes, a day that includes both a drive along the Amalfi Coast and a trip to Capri and back is possible.

 

The easiest way would be to take the SITA bus along the coast to Amalfi, getting on and off at will along the way (but certainly at Positano, if no where else). Then, from Amalfi, take the ferry to Capri and when your day is over, take the ferry from Capri back to Sorrento.
