Tour Deposit

How much deposit have you been required to make for private tours? We are planning on being in Santorini September 2011 and want to set everything up now.

It will vary. From company to company.

 

Some will not require a deposit at all. Others will give a discount if you pay up front. Always check their cancellation policy before doing that tho.

 

We paid in full, up front with out private guide in Turkey for Ephesus. Very well recommended company here on CC so didnt mind...... awesome day.

 

I really can't blame the tour companies for asking for a deposit........ some people will book and then be a no-show - leaving them without any income for the day.
