Landing @ 5 am in Miami. Need Help with Hotel.

Our flight from SFO was just changed to arriving in Miami at 5:00 am (day of cruise). We want to book a room so we can take a quick nap, shower and change before we head to the port.

Got a great rate at the Epic Hotel for our Dec. cruise since we're flying in the day before. But, for our Sept. cruise, since we'll only be at the hotel for a few hours we're looking for something cheaper.

Any recommendations for a place with an airport shuttle to the hotel that's not too far from POM? We'll take a cab from the hotel to the airport, as we want to make a quick stop on the way for water and soda.

I'm not sure what kind of rate you could get at the Hyatt Summerfield Suites MIA-Blue Lagoon area. I guess you could book it for the night before you arrive and tell them you won't actually be arriving until 6:00 AM the next morning. Then you could have breakfast as soon as you arrive. You might even call the hotel direct, tell them your situation and maybe they would give you a better rate than you could book online.

Many on these boards suggest airport hotels in the Blue Lagoon area (Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites, and some others). There's a shopping mall across the street from the Hampton Inn (5 min walk from others) with a grocery and a liquor store for your snacks and drinks.:D A taxi from this area to POM will cost under $30 including tip. Good luck!:)
