Karencruiser43 Posted February 4, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2005 Anybody know if Adventure of the Seas is charging for Johnny Rockets? Thanks!
Ontheseas Posted February 4, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2005 I'm 99.9% sure it's Voyager-Class wide.
Guest OBAYbee Posted February 4, 2005 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2005 From everything I've read there is a $3.95 charge unless you are a C&A member. C&A members get 1 free coupon to Johnny Rockets. I think that initial charge includes whatever and as much as you want at no extra charge EXCEPT their milkshakes. (even when entering Johnny Rockets for free their milkshakes were not free. So that is nothing new actually)
familycruzer Posted February 4, 2005 #4 Share Posted February 4, 2005 $3.95 is the magic number I have been told too.
rjg41 Posted February 4, 2005 #5 Share Posted February 4, 2005 Cover charge for all JR's on all ships is $3.95/person/visit . All drinks, including soft drinks(even with a soda sticker) are extra.

kwaa Posted February 6, 2005 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Well my question is: is it worth it? Can't you get a burger at the pool for free? What would make you want to spend money every time you go in there?
dosp Posted February 6, 2005 #8 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Burgers everywhere on the ship are your regular "meat cookies" sitting at a steamer table. We load up the condiments and it is ok. But...the ROCKETBURGER!!!!!!!! Grill a GIANT patty, fresh and made to order, the BEST fries and rings, and a verrrrrry coooool atmosphere (even some singin and dancin), and you realize, "that was only 4 bucks, I spent more than that in 90 seconds in the casino last night, and didn't even get a free drink"! Good evening, good cruise, I must prepare for the morn, as my head is about to BUST WIDE OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Clubber Posted February 6, 2005 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2005 The Burgers are much better at JRs. We ate there on two different occasions. We did get our soda with a sticker without paying extra. The shakes are extra, but the oreo sundae is included. Although, I believe the pop sticker on AOS is way overpriced. I'm not sure the two of us drank $92 bucks worth of soda. joand452 Posted February 6, 2005 #10 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Do they serve fountain sodas in Johnny Rockets or cans? Shipwide do they serve just in cans or can you get a fountain soda? We were on HAL last year and it was cans only. Not crazy about canned soda, so I was really happy when we had lunch at Hard Rock in St. Thomas. Love my fountain diet coke!! $3.95 for a good burger is a bargain anywhere!
TrentS Posted February 6, 2005 #11 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Soda at Johnny Rockets is fountain, and IS "free" WITH a soda sticker! On board ship you can buy cans at the bars. The bars all also have fountain soda but never noticed anyone getting fountain soda without a soda sticker. I assume you can though, just tell them you prefer fountain, unless you purchase a sticker that is. "Sticker" soda is fountain ONLY. And to the person who asked about getting a "free" burger in the Windjammer... Yes, you can get "free" burgers, fries, hot dogs, etc. there, but quite frankly those are disgusting! I'll pay the $3.95 cover for JR's if I have to for FRESH burgers, fries, hot dogs, not to mention the onion rings! To me anyway, there's NO comparison between the Windjammer and Johnny Rockets! over the edge Posted February 6, 2005 #12 Share Posted February 6, 2005 We ate at Johnny Rockets only a few nights ago. It was delicious, especially the chilli-dog! The kids could not get soda with their soda cards so we opted for nice cold glasses of water and the kids went for their pop afterwards. We enjoyed the Windjammer just as much. There was lots of variety, really something for just about everyone but Mexican day was the best. Nachos and cheese with chili hamburger on top for lunch and lots of Mexican food for dinner! Yum! TomCat32174 Posted February 6, 2005 #13 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Can we stop beating a dead horse of a question anymore? Do searches before posting a question that has been asked I don't know how many times.
Flydude1063 Posted February 6, 2005 #14 Share Posted February 6, 2005 Tomcat, if you have such a problem with the question, why not just ignore it? Sheesh.
Tluvs2talk Posted February 6, 2005 #15 Share Posted February 6, 2005 TomCat32174, Some of us have never seen this post. Don't read a post if it upsets you. After a while all post are questions that have been asked before, it just depends on how long you have been reading the boards. Teri
Karencruiser43 Posted February 8, 2005 Author #16 Share Posted February 8, 2005 I agree with TLUVS2talk and FLYDUDE1063, ignore the question if you are sick of reading the same question over and over again and besides we don't all have time to sit at the computer and search for a question that may or may not have already been answered. Thanks guys!
Heidict Posted February 8, 2005 #17 Share Posted February 8, 2005 Nothing better to do Tomcat? If you can't bring anything relavent to the conversation then it would better if you didn't post at all. You know what they say "Its better to be thought a fool then to open your mouth and remove all doubt". Back to the topic. I was on the AOS in december and they were charging the $3.95 surcharge. It was well worth it though. The food is excellent and the entertainment is fun.
pinkrosesdeb Posted February 8, 2005 #18 Share Posted February 8, 2005 We do JR's at least twice on every cruise. As soon as you sit down they bring out bowls of fries and onion rings with ranch dressing to dip them in. Love it, love it, love it. We get so much "fancy" food onboard it is great to order a vanilla malt and enjoy the dancing. Lots of fun, really!
Cruising89143 Posted February 8, 2005 #19 Share Posted February 8, 2005 I found the burgers at JR's to be much much better than the Windjammer. Add to that the hot fries and onion rings and the small surcharge of $3.95 is more than worth it. I ate there four times on the Navigator in December. Grumpy8 Posted February 8, 2005 #20 Share Posted February 8, 2005 I was just on the Sovereign where they had JR and a pizza place. The staff in JR was just standing around. If I saw ten people in there on the 5 days that was a lot. Why pay for food that is better than JR when it's free. Seems like a waste of space to me. cruiseky Posted February 8, 2005 #21 Share Posted February 8, 2005 We definately think that Johnny Rockets is worth it. The food is great, the burgers, chili, onion rings and sundaes! It is a great place to meet up with the kids for lunch or a late night snack! When I first heard about the $3.95 charge, I was upset. After having the chance to experience JR both with and without the charge. I will say, the charge will not stop us from going.
