Although I was only on a short cruise, this list looked like it was intended for the entire season.
quote:
Originally posted by Firefighter's wife: Also how does one go about, setting this up?

You'll just need to book it at the spa (or call them to do it) and make sure he turns up at the appropriate time. On some cruises I've been on, spa appointments have gone quickly. Sea days and formal nights (often going hand-in-hand) seem to produce most pressure on spa bookings. VickiVSN Posted June 6, 2004 #5 Share Posted June 6, 2004 Vee - LOL!!! . I'm sure they won't get too carried away. You could always ask for a male Mas`seur. But then again in the spa profession...that could be an even scarier thought for your husband! Especially for a macho firefighter . ps - before anybody complains. Yes I know that not all male Mas'seurs are gay. Just probably a higher percentage than in other professions. My brother is a hairdresser, I should know Vicki Check out my guide for first time cruisers http://www.vsn.org/cruise Radiance 6/2002 Radiance 10/2002 Brilliance 11/2003 LEGEND OF THE SEAS - September 26, 2004 Visit our Roll Call HERE Cruise Europe 2005 (CC Group Cruise)- June 5, 2005 on the Brilliance Visit our Roll Call HERE

kcsmom2 Posted June 7, 2004 #8 Share Posted June 7, 2004 I had the seaweed massage on NOS a few weeks ago, and LOVED it! I was concerned because I had a sunburn (and also a wound on my knee from an excursion earlier that week...I won't go there now!), but they assured me that the seaweed would actually help bring out the "heat" and the massage oil use would be soothing. They were absolutely correct. The only problem I had was when they put the seaweed mixture all over my legs, including my knee. They said it would also help pull out any toxins in the wound. It felt really good until I had to get the mixture off in the shower. It had somewhat dried on - as it's supposed to - but I had to scrub at my knee to get it out of the wound. That hurt quite a bit, but then the back massage followed and I was relaxed all over again! I would recommend the seaweed massage, although all the others sounded great, too. The regular price was in the $190 range, but I got it for $146 (plus tip, of course) because it was a port day. I'm not one to part with my money easily, but it was worth the money, IMHO. DedeM Posted June 7, 2004 #9 Share Posted June 7, 2004 I had the regular full body massage and the hot aromatherapy stone massage. Both were fantastic! Navigator of the Seas 5/
cbg5953 Posted June 7, 2004 #10 Share Posted June 7, 2004 I had the seaweed wrap, mini-facial, body scrub and manicure. Everything was fantastic. I was on the Explorer and they also have a spa package for couples where you go into a private room and exfoliate and massage each other. It sounds silly here, but it looked like it would be wonderful for couples.
VickiVSN Posted June 8, 2004 #11 Share Posted June 8, 2004 The Spa will be open from the moment passengers start boarding in an "Open House" mode. They will show you around, take reservations for later in the cruise...pretty much do anything to get you to book. This is a great time to set up an appointment and get a tour at the same time.
