ChipLondon Posted June 21, 2010 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2010 Fantastic, you are also one of the few that can remember The Big Red boat, I never sailed on it but did see her docked alongside The Majesty on my first cruise, a long time ago. Yup! That was my first cruise! I was nine, I believe? It was actually dubbed as one of the Disney Cruises (before the Disney Cruise Line ever came to be) which was why my dad booked it, because it was child friendly. I remember thinking how MASSIVE that boat was...but it would hardley compare to anything you see now, and would look like a tugboat (or smaller) when compared to the Oasis. I'm 27 now, so don't remember too too much about it...but it was flaunted as a Disney-ish cruise and was VERY child friendly. Was sad to hear years later it was done :( I was very VERY lucky and fortunate growing up that we have been able to cruise the way we do. After I get married next summer, I have a feeling the cruising will stop after the honeymoon...or maybe keep going till we have little ones :-P After that, there are more important things to spend money on and take care of :)
