rfholcom Posted February 5, 2005 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2005 We are thinking of driving the White Pass. Is 4 hours sufficient time? If I drive, can we stop at Liarsville? Even though I believe it will be cheesy, the kids will think it is funny. Also, please provide opinions of: Street car and the Days of 98 show The kids love shows and love the Western theme so I was thinking they would enjoy the shows. I am thinking about booking the street car from 8:30-10:00, do the 10:30 days of 98 show on my own and then drive the car to White Pass and Liarsville. Our ship leaves at 4:30. Can we do this? Budget Queen Posted February 5, 2005 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2005 I would consider only 2 of your three choices, with a 4:30 pm departure you won't have enough time. I though the show very well done and worthwhile. I did the street car my first trip- again, a nice tour. I also drove directly to Liarsville - again several years ago, ask Yukon if it is still available to walk up patrons?? Or contact them directly when they open. On our first visit to Skagway, we took the White Pass RR first and then the Street Car/Days of '98 Tour. That still left time to walk the town and enjoy historic Skagway by foot. The White Pass RR was terrific and have taken it again with the Yukon extension. We enjoyed the Street Car/Days of '98 tour as well and, since your kids enjoy the old frontier history and shows, it is a good choice. I have never been to Liarsville so I cannot give you any impressions. I am sure you will enjoy Skagway no matter what you choose. Have a great cruise!
