Victory Cabin 8398...Good/Bad?

I'll be cruising Carnival soon and wanted information about cabin 8398. Its a balcony cabin, but not sure if its a good cabin, in terms on location etc... Any information is helpful and appreciated.

On the side, towards the back. by the aft elevators and stairway - they are separated a bit so there shouldn't be noise at night. For noise at night the mid or front elevators are worse. You will have to go to the front of the ship to get off in port and remember only the forward elevators and mid elevators go down to zero where you have to get off. The fancy glass elevators do not go to zero but you can go to 1 and walk down one flight. Returning with the crowds from port - go up the stairs to the 1st deck and walk the length of the ship to the back elevators and then take them to deck 8. Do the same when shows get out in the front - transverse the ship on cabin decks and use an elevator bank far from the "action" Back elevators will be busy at dinner times but up one or two flights for the buffet, aft pool and ice cream and juice machines - very handy. Gym is in the front as is the theater. Enter the theater on the second level for the best seats and go down the stairs inside to the first level - everyone jams the doors to the stage level and you can get in on the upper levels and see down if there are any seats and use the stairs inside to get there. Use deck five or one of the cabin decks to get from front to back, remember deck 3 and 4 do not go all the way through.

All in all, a pretty good location - that side of the ship is usually port side in port (not always but usually)

If you go to the casino - say hello to our money:rolleyes:

Thanks viaggi_per_mare for the detailed response. Good information to know. I wasn't sure if I should inquire about someting midship or what,so I came to the pros for an answer.
